progress on anything has slowed to an embarassing point... so much so i'm beginning to wonder if i even have anything left to do. art is always slow. once you come up with a good idea you have to think it over a couple of times to clarify what vision you have in your head of a piece. the next step is to try it out. turns out, your original vision never really seems to work, so you do something else. it's a 50/50 chance of actually liking it enough to keep it. as far as writing goes, well,i have a billion beginnings, divided amongst two or three stories that i've had for about two or three years. my characters are either itching to be put to w

i wonder if my fondness for folk and traditional music means i was in my past life a scottish lass in the early 19th century... hmmm... it seems kind of pointless to write a new journal entry when i haven't even uploaded anything yet. well, i'm going to write as if the whole world was reading, anyways. i live in a place where you can easily find good coffee (because it is the most important resource in life), friends, and an infinate number of small antique shops where projects are lurking in the resesses of a dusty shelves, just waiting to be discovered. to me the combination of a mint mocha, racks of vintage clothing, and my best friend sarah equals four hours gone automatically. when i'm not tearing up an antique store or sitting in a cafe, i'm at home, listening
